Reporting a calculation issue

To make a report actionable, include:

• The tool name — CFU, OD600, or serial dilution calculator
• The exact inputs you entered, including units
• The result you got and the result you expected, with the formula you applied
• Your browser and operating system, if the interface itself misbehaved

A worked comparison is worth more than a description: one concrete input-output pair can identify a bug immediately.

What not to send

Avoid including sensitive sample information, patient-linked data, unpublished study results, or institutional details you are not cleared to share. The calculators work entirely in your browser — nothing you type into them is transmitted — but an email is a different matter. Keep reports to the arithmetic and the interface.
